  What is Xeon.

  No dual Pentium 4, they are all called "Xeon" for multiprocessing. Two kinds so far--"Foster", 1.4-2.0 GHz, 256K cache, .18 micron size (equivalent to Pentium 4 "willamette"), 603 pin package.

  "Prestonia" 1.8-2.4 GHz, 603 pin package, 512K on-chip cache., .13 micron size, equivalent to Pentium 4 "northwood"). This is the one we are evaluating..

Supermicro P4DP6-DDR--with E7500 Plumas chipset. Also available as P4DPR with IDE RAID controller
Tyan 2720--not announced yet but Atipa will try to make their Xeon based on it.Plumas chipset.

Intel "Westville" board, E7500 Plumas chipset (or is it Serverworks GC-HE) DDR SDRAM 2-3 months away
Intel "Bryson" board, E7500 Plumas chipset. 2-3 months away
Dell makes their own board but sells it only in Precision Workstation 530 I860 chipset.
