Dear colleagues,

Hans Gutbrod forwarded to me your message indicating, that the PAX
Collaboration foresees to start a series of tests of polarization
built-up with protons at COSY and will submit a Letter of Intent to
the CERN SPSC in October for test at the AD ring.

please find attached my letter answer to your question below:

As it is time to face the funding agencies for the financing of
these tests,
it would be very advisable to have at disposal an official document
with the STI recommendations to which to refer to.

Is it already clear when a final, or, at least, a quotable document
will  be available?


I do hope that my quotations, extracted from the PAC and STI
recommendations document on the FAIR programme,
will help you to get support from the funding-agencies  for the tests.

In case you need reference to more  formal documents, the STI
secretary, Ingo Augustin, will prepare the publication
of the STI recommendations - to be decided upon during  the
forthcoming meeting of STI on 23 September 2005.
